After wearing
Wipe leather with a dry, soft cloth, especially after festivals or long nights — sweat and dust are leather’s only real enemies. Let it air-dry naturally; never leave it on a radiator or in direct sun.
Chains and hardware
Polish chains occasionally with a soft cloth. If a piece got caught in rain, dry the metal first — then the leather. Store pieces hanging or laid flat, not knotted in a drawer.
Conditioning
Once or twice a year, work a small amount of colourless leather balm into the straps of a harness or belt. It keeps the leather supple and deepens its colour.
Repairs and adjustments
Because every Olja Einfalt piece is made by hand, it can also be repaired and adjusted by hand. If a strap needs shortening or a chain replacing, message us — the atelier that made your piece can always mend it.
